Job Roles & Responsibilities:
- Make sure that new sites in Expansion have enough of advertising for available Jaza Star positions.
- During Jaza Stars’ hiring process, keep an eye on the quantity of interested applicants and make sure they fit the requirements for the training and interviews.
- Make sure that every site in the growth pipeline has the appropriate preparations made for the interview and training processes.
- Interview potential Jaza Star recruits and provide them with classroom instruction and on-the-job training.
- Determine potential training focus areas for the Jaza Star recruits and suggest additions to the training materials.
- Ensure that all onboarding action items for new recruits are followed and all necessary documentation is filled appropriately. This includes:
- Ensuring that they are registered on the Dashboard and set their accounts on the Star App
- Requesting for employment agreement from the HR department, sign and share back for filling
- Uploading the Jaza Star registry with the new recruit details
Qualifications:
- Education, community development, psychology, sociology, human resources, or any other related field can be pursued with a diploma or bachelor’s degree.
- prior experience in positions including recruiting, training, and outreach in rural areas.
- the capacity to use local networks, including job boards and community ties, to locate applicants.
- the capacity to present the business as a desirable local employer.
- the capacity to create specialized training materials and recruitment tactics to draw in and educate applicants.
- Proficiency in conducting in-person trainings and interviews.
- the capacity to evaluate applicants’ technical proficiency and cultural fit in light of rural work contexts’ emphasis on community.
- the capacity to oversee the entire hiring process in a rural setting with potentially scarcer resources.
