Dumb OR Tambo heist suspect nabbed after posting pics with R5 mil Lamborghini

The Lamborghini found at the house of the OR Tambo heist suspect.

A suspect, whose name is known to Mzansi Times, was arrested at his luxury Blue Valley home after he allegedly made a suspicious purchase of a brand new R5-million Lamborghini.

The not so wise suspect went on and posted pictures of himself and friends on social media posing with his new acquisition and soon thereafter police were knocking on his door.

Meanwhile security guards at the OR Tambo International Airport are among five more suspects arrested for the daring R200- million heist, including one found with a multi million- rand Lamborghini reported The Sowetan.

One of the security guards arrested was responsible for guarding the vault from which the money was stolen.

The Hawks, working with the provincial tracking team and crime intelligence in Limpopo, arrested four suspects in Tembisa, Soshanguve, Centurion and Norkem Park in Gauteng.

Another man believed to be a Zimbabwean national has been arrested for allegedly cloning the police vehicle used in the heist.

Brigadier Hangwani Mulaudzi speaking for the Hawks refused to confirm or deny the arrests.

On Tuesday, acting national police boss Lieutenant- General Khomotso Phahlane announced that four suspects, including a cop, were arrested.

Two of them have already appeared before the Kempton Park Magistrate’’s Court and face armed robbery charges.

Police have not confirmed how much was stolen neither have they said if any money was recovered.
